A Primary Career-Related Learning Programme

‘Start Small; Dream Big’ is our new programme working with primary school teachers to deliver career-related learning.

As early as the age of six, children can adopt limiting stereotypes based on gender, ethnicity, and social background.

Dorset Careers Hub are part of a new programme – Start Small Dream Big - targeting 2,250 primary schools and 600,000 pupils nationwide.

The goal is to encourage children to dream big about their future careers and gain an understanding of the type of jobs available.

We need your help! Support us to:

  • Raise aspirations and challenge stereotypes
  • Increase awareness of the range of jobs available
  • Broaden pupils’ horizons by meeting employer role models.

There are many ways to get involved from delivering an assembly to supporting whole school challenge days and curriculum projects.

Let's help children dream big from the very start!

If you are an employer who is interested in getting involved, simply complete our quick online form or email dorsetcareershub@bournemouth.ac.uk.
